To encourage seniors to keep their independence while discovering greater freedom through Companionship and Accompaniment services, including escorted incidental transportation. As a dedicated Personal Services provider, Happy Day Seniors Services believes this is more than helping our clients with daily activities, it is about kindness, trust and making a difference in their lives.

I am so excited to introduce myself as the Owner and CEO of Happy Day Senior Services with a professional designation of CPCA - Certified Professional Consultant on Aging. I am also very proud to say I am a Senior myself . . . . only in numbers!
It has been my dream to start a business like this for many years. My business is named after my father, Happy Day. Like my father, I have always had a love for people, to be kind, talk to anyone, and to help others especially seniors or ones with disabilities and challenges.

My goal is to provide a service for seniors to help them continue to be independent by offering Companionship and Accompaniment services which may include private incidental transportation, based on specific needs of each person. The business has full Liability Insurance coverage as well as necessary vehicle insurance. It is incredibly rewarding and fills my heart with delight to partner with seniors and their families to be helping hands and to coordinate small ventures like a walk in the park, going shopping, attending medical appointments or just being there to visit.

I am very privileged to have worked as the Community Relations Manager at Kamloops Seniors Village for the last 7 years and was known for my "stories" and the dozens of things I loved to chat about that made the seniors laugh.
I am confident my love for people combined with my life experience working with seniors will make me a valuable resource, not to mention making some wonderful friendships for both seniors and their families.
How We Started
Alfred "HAPPY" Day & Florence Day
Happy Day Senior Services is named after my father Alfred Day, known to everyone as Happy Day.
My father was also a business owner and I have many memories of my father helping others. His wife Florence, my mother, had polio and my father was her #1 support. It seemed to me 'Happy Day' was the original Good Samaritan, bringing homeless people to our house for meals, fresh clothing and to have a warm bath. He would drive neighbours to and from town for errands, plow snow during the winter, dig ditches and put in water lines for neighbours and friends. Rescue the neighbours cat, provide a place to rent for a family that needed a roof over their head, water plants, cut lawns, visit and make people laugh. He really was always so happy when he was helping someone which is why he was known and called Happy Day.
Although he is deceased, his legacy lives on in his children, myself, my sister and brothers. I am so honoured and thrilled to be able to name my business after my father, and I know he would be humbled but smiling and so happy about this exciting new venture.
What We Do
Getting You Where You Want To Go
Happy Day Senior Services started with a dream 20 years ago to one day own my own business. I wanted to find a way to serve and support seniors to keep their independence by providing Companionship, Social & Leisure Activities and Accompaniment services, including personal incidental transportation, based on their needs and especially when they can't or won't be driving anymore.
As a companion, I would get to know the senior and find out what they are needing or wanting to do. I will offer lots of social interaction, be a listening ear, helping hands for non-medical needs and someone to accompany them on their different plans and adventures.

Accompaniment Services
Personal assistance to do tasks around the house or out in the community, go shopping, attend medical appointments and just be there to chase away loneliness.
Social & Leisure Activities
Visit regularly in person, read, play a game, write letters, go for a walk in the park, go out for a scenic drive, attend a movie together, go to a live theatre presentation, arts and crafts
